CHEF BRAD CARTER & DROITWICH SALT EVENT

In 2018 we were immensely proud to truly open our Food at Webbs event offering in style - in partnership with Droitwich Salt.

Michelin-star chef Brad Carter, a regular on BBC's Saturday Kitchen and the owner of Carters of Mosely, has created three flavoured salts - charcoal, coastline and sea truffle in partnership with Droitwich Salt. Chef Carter launched the range at a food masterclass on June 10th, attended by 200 guests over the day who were among the first to get their hands on the Webbs exclusive products.

Droitwich Salt producer Will Kerton introduced our guests to the history of local salt in the Droitwich Spa area, before a butchery demonstration from our on-site butchers, showing the best ways to prepare and season meat for maximum flavour.

Chef Carter said: "I was intrigued by the purity of Droitwich Salt and its provenance which is why I use it in my own Restaurant and have become their ambassador - supporting local producers is so important to us which is why we chose Webbs as a venue because of its close links with local suppliers and quality products. It was an absolute pleasure to join Will and introduce the new salt to such an engaged audience in these surroundings...".

Webbs Chairman, Ed Webb said "This event is the culmination of a lot of hard work by the Webbs team over the last two years to put Food at Webbs on the map - it is a testament to the team that we have been able to host Brad today and put such a great event on for our customers to enjoy - whilst also partnering with Will and Droitwich Salt".
