Lemax have been making model houses and figurines since the 90's and the Lemax Christmas Village range has now become highly sought after by collectors and amateurs worldwide, Webbs famous displays have become somewhat of a Christmas tradition for visitors at our stores over the winter period, and our miniature village experts have put together their top tips to help you build your own displays...
Step 1 – Starting with the centrepiece…
If you are starting your collection from scratch, it’s best to start with a showstopping centrepiece that will form the focal point of your Lemax Christmas village - a focal point will give you something to build out from. Our team recommend choosing a larger LED Christmas village scene complete with moving parts for an animated, illuminated way to get your Christmas model village off to an instant start.
Step 2 – Building your collection…
Miniature Christmas village scenes are something you can build over time, so add buildings and scenes alongside your centrepiece. Try smaller scenes or individual houses to extend your display in both directions or build outwards in a circle for a display on a larger table. Try to imagine how a real life winter village scene would look.
Step 3 – Time for details…
Add in finer details for a fully fleshed out Christmas model village. Bring in some finishing touches that help to bring it to life, accessories and landscaping products include working streetlamps, evergreen trees, Victorian mailboxes and historic figures enjoying winter sports and activities.
Start your collection today and create your own Christmas village in miniature.
