We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Advisor to join our Human Resources department, reporting to the Head of HR and People. 
 
The Senior Human Resources Advisor will engage and support key stakeholders at all levels in the business with a strong customer focus and a desire to create an exceptional employee experience. The HR team role models our values of Genuine, Caring and Experts.
 
Duties include but are not limited to:
 
Human Resources:
  • ER casework - Attend disciplinary, grievance, appeals and other meetings as advisor, witness and notetaker.
  • Coordinate the annual colleague survey and provide feedback reports.
  • All HR reporting including monthly HR metrics for Board Report.
  • Support community, environment and wellbeing activities.
  • Review and update policies. Provide or arrange training as necessary.
  • Provide support for TUPE, restructures and acquisitions.
  • Provide generalist HR administration in line with the employee lifecycle.
  • Contribution to wider HR projects around resourcing, learning and development, employee engagement, wellbeing and digitalisation.
Pay, rewards & benefits
  • Liaise with the outsourced payroll provision to ensure payroll is produced accurately and on time.
  • Deal with internal and external telephone queries.
  • Prepare data for national minimum wage salary reviews and gender pay reporting.
  • Organise long service award gifts and celebrations.
  • Contribute to the organisation of colleague events including our annual awards ceremony.

This role requires exceptional planning and organisational skills and an eye for detail, with a numerate, analytical and accurate approach.
 
It will suit a positive people person who enjoys the challenge of a high volume, varied, generalist HR workload. A wider interest in HR is important to allow innovation and contribution to HR projects.
 
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a HR generalist role and have CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.
 
The role is based at our store in Wychbold, Worcestershire and so you must live within a reasonable commuting distance. Travel to other others stores in West Hagley, Cheltenham and Abingdon, will be required.
 
Working hours are Monday to Friday, up to 35 hours per week between 8.30am and 5.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break each day.  Some flexibility can be agreed around hours.
