Van Driver - Webbs, Wychbold

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced van driver to join our transport team at our Wychbold garden centre.
 
Duties include:

• Helping to load the van with correct orders, ensuring the loads are safely and carefully packed.
• Deliver goods to our customers in and around our local area and in line with our delivery calendar.
• Manage multidrop deliveries on a mobile phone, so experience of using a smart phone is a must.
• Deliver goods to our other three stores (West Hagley, Cheltenham and Frilford) so a positive and collaborative team approach is required.
• Responsible for keeping the van clean and tidy and complete routine vehicle inspections. Smoking is not permitted the vehicle.
• Work within the warehouse team, helping to move and safely store our diverse product ranges, during quieter delivery times.

Essential requirements are:

• Valid driving licence.
• Proven experience as a multidrop driver.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.
• A good level of physical fitness.  Experience of manual handling and the ability to lift and move heavy/bulky items.
• Collaborate with the team to optimize delivery routes.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

This is a fixed term contract role until the end of September 2025. Working 16 hours per week Saturday and Sunday 8am – 4.30pm.
