What you need to know:
  • 1 x Mr Fothergills Verbena Compact Mixed Seeds
  • Sow: February to April
  • Flowering: June to October
  • Indoors Sowing Guide: Sow indoors, a warm kitchen windowsill is all you need to start these seeds. Sow 0.5cm (1/4") deep in trays of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 20-25oC (68-77oF) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedling usually in 14-28 days. Transplant seedlings 5cm (2") apart to further trays when large enough to handle. (Always handle by a leaf, never by the stem.) Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 20cm (8") apart, when frosts are over.

  • Hints & Tips: When first flowers fade, trim back the plants to encourage repeat flowerings.
